It's great to connect with brands and have them share their stories with us. Here's what Jennifer (the founder)  had to say when we chatted.

CB: What inspired you to start a brand for teens?

JC: I was inspired by my own teenagers when I was looking to purchase clean/natural products for them and couldn’t find anything I could feel good about buying or other natural products they would be willing to use. I could see there was nothing in the market in clean beauty made for teenagers, so I created it.

CB: You've kept all your manufacturing in Canada? Why was that important?

JC: I love to support local and strongly believe in the quality and integrity of our Canadian partner.

CB: You have teen ambassadors, can you tell me a bit more about them?

JC: Our market is teenagers so in my view it’s really important to have their insight into everything we do. We have a board of over 25 teen ambassadors, both girls, and boys from ages 9-19, who weigh in on all of our product innovation and approvals, social media content, branding, and packaging design. If they are going to be using our products, I want both boys and girls to feel like it is made for them and the best way to do that is with their direct involvement.

CB: What is the future of green beauty in your opinion?

JC: Green beauty is the future. In the same way “clean food”  is leading organic growth in the food industry, clean beauty is driving new sales in the beauty category. This means consumers are becoming more educated about what they are putting in and on their bodies. They will continue to demand quality, non-toxic ingredients and manufacturers will continue to have to respond.
