An Honest Eminence Skin Care Review
Finding good, sustainable skincare brands was once very difficult. Containing all sorts of unwanted chemicals, the conventional beauty industry has proven to be a bit slow to turn to clean beauty practices. Thankfully, this has changed. From blue beauty brands and low-waste beauty options to green beauty brands that are killing it — things have definitely improved for the better.
Brands like Éminence Skin Care are making things a little more gentle and a little lighter on us and on the planet. So if you’ve been curious about this brand as we’ve been, join us for an Eminence skin care review.
Is Eminence a clean beauty brand?
Éminence prides itself on using sustainable farming and green practices since its inception. All of their products are free from parabens, phthalates, sodium laurel sulfate, mineral oils, petroleum, propylene glycol, harmful colorants, and any other harsh chemicals.
Instead, their products are handmade using hand-picked fresh ingredients, including Biodynamic® ingredients, in combination with pure waters sourced from a thermal hot spring lake. Ingredients come from farms that use practices that enhance vitamins, nutrients, and active compounds in plants, compared to organic ingredients. The waters contain trace elements and minerals unique to the spring where they are sourced.
The brand also avoids any intense heating or hydrogenating processes that could have potentially adverse effects on the nutritional content and potency of its ingredients.
In terms of certifications, Eminence Organic Skin Care is a certified B corporation which speaks to its standards for social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.
Eminence also engages in many charitable works including work through their own foundation — the Eminence Kids Foundation — which helps to provide organic, locally-sourced, and nutrient-rich foods for sick children around the world. Their Forests for the Future Program helps to train farmers in developing countries to build fruitful and sustainable forest gardens in partnership with Trees for the Future. The brand also supports cancer research and other charitable organizations.
Is Eminence Organic Skin Care fragrance-free?
If you are wondering if the brand is fragrance-free, it is difficult to say as they do not offer a full list of ingredients for their products online. They do state that they omit any fragrances from their products, but this is an area where improvements could be made.
Where is Eminence made?
Eminence is mostly formulated and manufactured in Hungary. The products are then sent to Canada to be hand poured and packaged. Most of the ingredients used in their products are also grown in Hungary, though ingredients are also sourced globally.
All of their products are cruelty-free and you will find a wide selection of options for the face and body, as well as cosmetics, starter sets, and specialty items. In terms of skincare, you will find cleansers, moisturizers, masks & treatments, exfoliants, toners & mists, serums, oils & concentrates, sun care, and more.
If you are looking to try some Eminence face wash, the Monoi Age Corrective Exfoliating Cleanser is award-winning and well-received according to Eminence skin care reviews. As is their Acne Advanced Cleansing Foam. For the best Eminence products for acne the Clear Skin Willow Bark Booster Serum is definitely something to consider. Based on reviews, it is very well-liked, with people reporting noticeably clearer skin.
Our review of Eminence
For our eminence skin care review we are going to be looking at the Stone Crop Gel Wash, as well as the Strawberry Rhubarb Hyaluronic Serum, the Blueberry Soy Night Recovery Cream, and the Coconut Firming Body Lotion.
Eminence: Strawberry Rhubarb Hyaluronic Serum

Good for: hydration, softens and smooths, all skin types
Standout ingredients: botanical hyaluronic acid complex, cica, strawberry and rhubarb
Price: $59
A tantalizing name for a delightful product that smells super lovely and works to moisturize skin, particularly for those with dry skin. It is also gentle on some sensitive skin and leaves it feeling dewy and bright. The consistency feels really nice — not too viscous or sticky but light and applies smoothly and evenly on the skin.
It felt great on my skin and absorbed well, with just a small drop. Remember that a little goes a long way here (and elsewhere). The brand recommends using it once or twice a day, with the option to follow up with a moisturizer of your choosing.
Key ingredients include a botanical hyaluronic acid complex designed to moisturize and keep skin moisturized; Cica, a leafy herb full of fatty acids, vitamins, and amino acids that helps to strengthen the skin’s moisture barrier; and strawberry and rhubarb of course, which contain ingredients that help to remove impurities and preserve youthful-looking skin respectively. It is designed to work for those with oily or combination skin and acne-prone skin as well.
Eminence: Blueberry Soy Night Recovery Cream

Good for: preventing free radical damage, firmer skin, moisturizing
Standout ingredients: GMO-free soy, shea butter, calendula oil
Price: $69
This product feels rich, thick, and luxurious and left my skin feeling moisturized while I slept without sitting on the skin or feeling oily. Here a little bit went a long way too, and just a touch was enough to reach an even, light layer on the skin, that left my skin feeling hydrated, bouncy and glow-y when I woke up the following morning. If you are able to tolerate light scents, then this is definitely a lovely-smelling product. Not too strong but definitely serves up notes of blueberry.
To use, the brand recommends applying a small amount on the face. And don't forget the neck area! If you hadn't heard your neck needs as much love as your face does and it will make a huge difference on how skin looks in the long term. Once applied, allow the product to sink into the skin.
For particularly dry areas, the brand recommends considering a thicker layer on those spots which we think is a great tip. It saves product and allows for a little more attention on areas of concern.
Eminence also recommends emulsifying a small amount of the moisturizer in your palm with a few drops of water, for a lighter application. I tried this and loved it. It absorbed more quickly into the skin and left it feeling fresh and moisturized pretty soon after the application.
Active ingredients include blueberry which cleanses pores, tightens skin, and tones skin; non-GMO soy which helps to reduce the appearance of wrinkles; and shea butter which moisturizes and helps repair the look of skin.
If you are looking for other moisturizers, the best products for that according to Eminence skin care reviews include the Mangosteen Gel Moisturizer or the Strawberry Rhubarb Hyaluronic Hydrator.
Eminence: Stone Crop Gel Wash

Good for: hydration, lightens pigmentation, smoothes, relieves tightness and irritation
Standout ingredients: stone wash, chamomile, shea butter
Price: $49
The Stone Crop Gel Wash is an oil-free gentle face wash made from the stone wash plant. It left my skin feeling clean but not stripped, and it lathers, creating lots of sudsy foam with not much product. I really liked the smell too, which is reminiscent of botanicals as you might expect. The smell isn’t too overpowering either but adds to the experience if you don't mind scented products.
Other key ingredients include chamomile, which calms and balances the appearance of skin, and shea butter which contributes to calming skin and acts as a restorative agent.
It is designed to wash away impurities while keeping skin calm and hydrated, particularly for those with sensitive skin. It works exceptionally well for uneven skin tones and blemishes and is formulated without any petrochemicals, synthetic dyes, animal by-products, GMOs, phthalates, triclosan, sodium lauryl sulfates, or parabens.
A cruelty-free, nut-free, and gluten-free cleanser, it also helps to lighten pigmentation, promotes skin smoothness, and relieves tightness and irritation — all while removing dry, dehydrated layers from the skin surface.
Eminence: Coconut Firming Body Lotion

Good for: firming and tightening skin
Standout ingredients: Bambu, coconut milk, coconut water, natural retinol alternative complex, green apple stem cells, and Biocomplex™
Price: $43
I also wanted to try their Coconut Firming Body Lotion which touts lasting hydration and rejuvenating powers. Designed to tighten skin from head to toe and to fight aging, it feels rich and creamy to the touch and leaves skin feeling rejuvenated after application.
It is difficult to tell if there are any firming effects just yet but it absorbs well and left skin feeling great. It also smells of coconut loveliness although the scent may be a bit strong if you are sensitive to smells.
I tried leaving my skin a little damp before applying and that worked really well too. It requires less product per application and leaves skin feeling soothed, healthy and hydrated.
Suitable for all skin types, this firming lotion includes key ingredients like coconut (of course), shea butter, and grape seed oil which come together to offer that lasting hydration they speak of — as well as plant-based hyaluronic acid (natural retinol), green apple stem cells, and Biocomplex.
